After a bit of deliberation over a pint in a pub one evening we arrived on the marsh a few days later with a plan
The marsh is extraordinarily dry and the grasses sedges and reeds have not fully grown.
So we headed deep into the untracked wilderness with a mission

We crossed the bridge we built a few weeks ago, the last time we got together.

With some enthusiasm a pioneer party headed north and blazed a trail. Our lead pioneer is an experienced ornithologist who kept a beady eye out for birds. We would divert around any we found, it’s bird nesting season so we were really careful.

We soon arrived at the end. There’s a wide and deep ditch. It can be crossed in wellies but we’d like to be able to cross in shoes you might wear for a summer stroll. So we need another bridge!

We spent a while coming up with ideas which we’ll turn into action in a month’s time.

But for the time being there’s a lovely new stroll along Marshian way.
