Esme Boggart is a Marshian.

Some people thought Esme Boggart was a witch but it turns out she’s a Marshian. Well she might have just become one when she heard about us.

Or are we here because Esme is?

Witches can be anything they want of course. Who are we Marshians to assign identity to our guardians.

When she heard that we were after some Bog art she looked at me and pointed both fingers at herself.

Now Esme has settled restlessly nearby. She’s just up the hill from the marsh.

She’s been and stomped the marsh. She’s laid her claim to it.

And when she lost her garden her soul was cast adrift. Is the marsh where she sets down roots?

Could Fobney be her enchanted Marsh?

It’s the outside space that’s important to her.

Could her cultivation skills help with feeding us all from the marsh?

Does Willow Witch have any cultural significance?

The Boggart family were evicted by the landowner.

Now we’re evicting the landowner. Is Esme actually going to find her home, not on the chalk hilltop but nestled in the valley?

As you get older you need to be in the bottom of the valley. When your home is at the top of a hill and everything you need is at the bottom, old age is a curse. You can still go up the hill when you want but you don’t have to.

If you’re close to everything you need and have hills nearby if you want then a marsh might be perfect.

Is Esme going to be out Talisman? Talisman? Do I mean Taliswoman?

Let’s rebuild Esme as a giant willow sculpture. Angel of Fobney scale

And she won’t ever burn. She’ll grow. Become green.
